Historic Downtown Farmer’s Market – Hosted by the the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles at 5th Street between Broadway and Spring, this excellent market takes place every Sunday from 9am to 3pm. With pastries and empanadas, farm fresh eggs as well as Mediterranean dips and spreads this may be the best farmers' market in DTLA.
 
Certified Farmers Market at BoA — At 333 S. Hope, in the Bank of America plaza, from 11:30am-3pm every Friday, Raw Inspiration hosts this farmers' market whose mission is to fulfill the need -- at least until Whole Foods opens at Eighth and Grand -- of bringing fresh fruit and vegetables downtown.
 
 

ECHO PARK & SILVER LAKE

  
Echo Park Farmers' Market – On Logan Street at Sunset Blvd., every Friday after work from 3-7:30pm you'll find some of the same venders from Silver Lake, such as the fabled mushroom man, but it’s near Echo Park Lake, and a ton of goodwill shops, so why not make an afternoon of it.

Silver Lake Farmers' Market at Triangle Plaza – In the polka-dot painted plaza at Edgecliff and Sunset every Tuesday from 1:30pm to 7pm and Saturday between 8am and 1:30pm, this neighborhood gathering is the epicenter of hipsterdom. I mean, Yo La Tengo just filmed their new video here, so yeah. Sunset Triangle Plaza has been hosting great movie nights here all summer, but Tuesdays and Saturdays are all about the market. You can find some great vintage clothing and jewelry at this hip haven, too!

Atwater Village Farmers' Market – You know Atwater, once home to the Beastie Boys' studio and now where Silver Lake hipsters go to have kids and stave off the inevitable trappings of Glendale yuppiedom. Just across The 5 at 3250 Glendale Blvd. every Sunday between 9am and 2pm, you'll find this great little market featuring quite a few prepared foods — like Bigmista’s BBQ!
